ART HIST 3P03 ISSUES IN STUDIO CRITICISM

A course that allows non-Art students to explore current studio practice and to investigate approaches to the evaluation of quality in contemporary art. Students taking this course are required to attend a preset number of Studio Critiques and Visiting Artists’ Talks* Seminar (two hours); one term Prerequisite(s): Registration in Level III of an Art History program *Studio Art Critiques are regularly scheduled sessions during which the work of Art students is discussed by their peers, faculty members and visiting professionals from the art world. Visiting Artists’ talks are held on weekday evenings on the same day as the Studio Critiques.
