HTH SCI 3AH3 ABORIGINAL HEALTH

The goal of this course is to provide students with knowledge and skills related to health care practice and policy from within Aboriginal contexts. Enabling students to acquire and put into practice concepts and information required to understand and manage health for Aboriginal peoples; to engage in culturally competent and safe practice through knowledge development; and the ability to identify areas of need specific to Aboriginal health. Prerequisite(s): Registration in Level III or above in the BHSc (Honours) Program or BHSc (Honours) specializations. This course is offered by authorization of the Dean of Health Sciences.
