A study of selected music for the stage in its historical, socio-political and artistic contexts. Possible topics include: Mozart’s operas, Wagner’s Ring, American musical theatre. Two lectures, one tutorial; one term Prerequisite(s): Registration in Level III or IV of an Honours Music program. Alternates with MUSIC 3Y03. Music 3YY3 may be repeated, if on a different topic, to a total of six units.
