A study of Japanese religions and how they function in Japanese society. Topics will include Shinto, Shamanism, Ancestor Worship, Japanese Buddhism and the New Religions of Japan. Two lectures, one tutorial; one term Prerequisite(s): Registration in Level II or above, and three units from the Asian Religions Field of Study, RELIG ST 2TT3 is strongly recommended.
